Well we always knew going back to Ennis was going to be special, but I think you’ve outdone yourselves. What a blast we all had!

How about those workshops?

Thanks so much to Ruth Waldron, MC Zani, Kathleen Turner, Shelley Bukspan, Eimear & Claire Crehan, Carmel Reilly and Ed Scott for all their energy preparing and delivering the workshops.

How about those choirs?

Thanks to all the gospel choirs who made the journey to Ennis, singing and dancing all through the weekend. You showed us just how much love and joy is out there in the community all round Ireland – you are the spirit of Gospel Rising and you continue to do us proud!

Along with all the impromptu singers at the Gospel Jam on the Friday night, we were delighted to see our Schools Transition Year (Rice College) Program Gospel Choir sing on Friday. Well done guys and gals, fair play for agreeing to an encore on Saturday night too!

SUSO at glor at GR2016

Huge props to all those who gave it socks on the glór stage on Saturday night; Virginia Gospel Choir, Shannon Gospel ChoirSchools Transition Year (Rice College) Program Gospel Choir, our hosts The Really Truly Joyful Ennis Gospel Choir, Hands in Harmony Deaf Community Choir (who stole our hearts and the show) and of course the absolutely mega SUSO who took us home in style!

Planning for 2017

We got such instant, positive feedback on this year’s festival we are already full steam ahead planning for the 2017 edition of the festival. About half of our attendees have kindly taken a few minutes to give us some hugely valuable feedback and suggestions for next year and we want to hear from as many as possible to make next year the best we possibly can.

Give us your thoughts here and you’ll have the chance to win a weekend pass to next year’s festival.

Announcements for 2017

The rumour mill was never so hot about where and when the 8th annual Gospel Rising Music Festival is taking place. All we can say for now is we’ve got something pretty exciting in the works and you’ll have to keep your eyes and ears peeled for the announcement!

To be one of the first to hear about next year’s festival, sign up for our free newsletter or like our page on Facebook.
