BIG NEWS! Due to huge demand, we’ve added extra workshops and put a bunch of extra Weekender tickets on sale for the Gospel Rising Music Festival 2017!
Those of you who have already booked your tickets will know that we’ve had to make some change to our line-up. Sending good wishes to MC Zani and Tore Aas and hope to see them again at a future festival.
Time to meet some new facilitators that we are super excited to be welcoming to Galway!
Joining us from beautiful Barcelona, is pianist, composer, arranger and choral conductor of The Gospel Viu choir, Moisès Sala. Moisès is well known for his teaching which has taken him all across Europe and beyond. He has collaborated with many well-known artists and gospel choirs and is particularly renowned for his work with the Gospel With No Borders project. Read more here.
Grace Savage is a rare diamond, not just because she is UK Female Beatbox Champion 2012 and 2013. She’s also one of just two professional female beat boxers in the UK. We’re really excited to welcome Grace to Galway to unlock all those budding beatboxing talents!
No choir is a complete without a director and this year we are delighted to welcome Bernie Sherlock to the line-up. An award-winning teacher and conductor, she is founder and conductor of New Dublin Voices, Artistic Director of the Association of Irish Choirs’ annual International Choral Conducting Summer School since 2008, and is the Irish representative on the World Choir Council.
The extra workshops and sessions that are now on the Saturday timetable:
- Vocal Percussion with Grace Savage (2 workshop sessions)
- The Staple Singers with Shelley Bukspan (2 workshop sessions)
- The Male Voice with Peter Mannion (2 workshop sessions)
I’ve already booked my ticket and would like to switch workshops. What do I do?
No problem! You or whoever booked your ticket on your behalf should have received an email about switching workshops. If not, don’t fret. Just send your new workshop preferences to firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday 17th April and we’ll do the rest. Places are available on a first come, first served basis.
