That’s a wrap!

And just like that, it’s all behind us for another year! What an amazing time we had in gorgeous Galway city.

Students from Scoil Bride Menlo Scoil Bríde ready for the stage!

We got all four seasons in one weekend and the biggest festival attendance ever with almost 300 people participating in workshops over the weekend and a sell-out crowd at the Black Box Theatre on Saturday night.

SUSO Gospel Choir

Thanks to everyone who came along and made it a festival to remember and to those who have filled out our annual feedback survey so we can build on this year and make 2018 even bigger and better. Special thanks to all of Ignite Gospel Choir who were working hard behind the scenes since early in the year and throughout the weekend. We couldn’t do it without your support.

Ignite Gospel Choir

HUGE thanks to two very special Igniters who went above and beyond this year – founder and musical director Keara Rose MacDhómhnaill and Galway’s West End superhost Karen Healy – who were stuck in with their sleeves rolled up from the get-go last year.

Happy crowd at the Saturday night gig

We’re taking a minute or two to catch our breath and get the house in order before we dive into plans for the 2018 festival. Videographer and photographer extraordinaire Jamie Crehan has the music video from Sunday’s fab closing workshop in production so keep your eyes peeled for that and more memories from a great festival real soon.

Much love,

The Gospel Rising Team
