Trying to fit all ‘Gospel Music’ into a unique slot is virtually impossible as it has an innate ability to span a larger array of genres then virtually any other music. What we do know about gospel is that it can create a soulful sound that is both memorable and inspirational and has the ability to reach out to an eclectic mix of races, ages and backgrounds and this is a what makes ‘gospel’ such a special type of music.
In this workshop Nicky will look at what creates that ‘gospel choir sound’. Is it great dynamics, rich harmonies, unapologetic rhythm or the fact that as is often said to sing gospel you must first feel.
Come and find out while also learning some new repertoire for your choir.
