Never been to the Gospel Rising Music Festival? Then let this year be your first!

Choral workshopGospel Rising Music Festival is a social, fun and energetic gospel music festival, made up of workshops and gigs showcasing Ireland’s many gospel choir music styles. Whether you’re in a choir or just enjoy music, there’s something in it for you.

The festival is made up of three main parts – workshops, gigs and getting together. There are many gospel choirs dotted all over Ireland and this festival helps bring lots of them together for fun, learning and of course making some noise.

I’m not in a choir. Can I come to Gospel Rising?

You definitely can! If you enjoy gospel music, we can’t think of a better place to spend a weekend in Ireland this year. This is your chance to find out what singing in a gospel choir is like, the workshops, the gigs, and the craic, it’s all there, book into some workshops now (don’t worry there’ll be plenty of people in each one, so you wont have to sing on your own if you don’t want to.

Check out the full festival timetable to see what’s on over the weekend.

Do I need to be part of a choir to do workshops at Gospel Rising?

Nope! Many of our vocal workshops are designed for soloists or learning different skills that are applicable useful for when singing with a choir. Workshops range in size and subject and our opening group workshop encourages everyone to come along and provides a chance to meet others taking part in the festival.

My choir would like to perform at the festival

Performance opportunities are distributed every year between choirs who are attending the festival and taking part in workshops. If for whatever reason only some of your choir can make it then don’t worry, there will be opportunities to jump in and sing along with the crowd! Please contact fiona@gospelrising.com to submit your request to perform.
